Dr. Rance Raney likes to build a bond with his patients. He knows it doesn’t come instantly but finds it fulfilling when he’s soon treating the entire family and not just the initial patient. He also believes all the patients of Texas ENT Specialists benefit from the large number of doctors within the practice. The physicians can collaborate with each other to give you the best care.

Dr. Rance Raney entered college as a National Merit Scholar. He attended Pomona College, a small, premier liberal arts school outside of Los Angeles, California. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts in biochemistry.   Medical school brought him to Houston where he graduated with high honors from Baylor College of Medicine. He stayed with Baylor to complete his internship and residency.

He was one of the first physicians to join Texas ENT Specialists when it was formed in 1997. Dr. Raney has served as both the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Tomball Regional Hospital. He also has served as the Vice-Chairman Department of Surgery at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital.

In addition, Dr. Raney has served on many committees at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital including the following: By Laws, Credentials & Professional Ethics, Operating Room, and Quality & Utilization Review. He is currently the Chief of Staff at The Surgery Center of the Woodlands.

Dr. Raney is a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
