Mary Elizabeth Turner, Au.D., CCC/A, CH-AP
Dr. Mary Beth Turner is a native of Gulfport, Mississippi. At five years old, Dr. Turner had her very first hearing test. She was diagnosed with hearing loss and has worn hearing aids ever since. The personal time given, close attention made to specific needs and requests, and the appropriate counseling provided to her and her parents by her audiologist through the years, was the driving force behind her journey to become an audiologist.
She graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders in 2012 and earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from The University of Tennessee in 2016. She is accredited through the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and through the Certificate-Holder Audiology Preceptor program through the American Board of Audiology.
Outside of work, she enjoys baking goodies, volunteering at church, seeing Broadway shows at the Hobby Center, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Turner first joined Hearing Specialists of Texas in 2015 for a year-long externship after graduate school and was provided the opportunity to continue working at Hearing Specialists of Texas as an audiologist after graduating in 2016.
