Diane M. Shirley-Davis, MD

Dr. Diane Shirley-Davis believes the best part of being a doctor is making a sick child well again. Dr. Shirley-Davis was named one of America’s Top Physicians from The Consumer Research Council of America for five consecutive years including 2008. She was also named to Houston Magazine’s Top Doctors in 2008. Her philosophy regarding patient care is to plan patient care as if they were a member of her family. It is important to her that each and every patient be greeted with a smile and feel at ease.
Dr. Shirley-Davis is originally from Springfield, Illinois and graduated magna cum laude from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. She attended medical school at Southern Illinois University. Dr. Shirley-Davis landed in Houston when she matched her first choice for residency at Baylor College of Medicine. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. She’s also a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. She has a large practice involving both pediatrics and adults. Her surgical practice encompasses a wide range of ear, nose, and throat disorders. Her special interests are thyroid/parathyroid surgery, nasal and endoscopic sinus surgergy including balloon sinuplasty, and pediatrics. She also enjoys the non-surgical aspect of her career treating a wide-variety of disorders including but not limited to hearing loss, allergies, and dizziness.
Dr. Shirley-Davis has lived in Houston for more than 13 years. The city reminds her of the Midwest because people are so friendly. Her family, which includes her husband, two children and a dog, take advantage of all Houston offers including the wide variety of activities, arts, sports and parks. When she has some time to herself, Dr. Shirley-Davis enjoys doing crafts including stamping and card making. She also plays the piano.
